Life gets busy. I would rather spend my time with my family, other families and my camera than with my computer, so whilst I will endeavor to keep my portfolios up to date, in the meantime you can see my latest work here!
βTo be pregnant is to be vitally alive, thoroughly woman and distressingly inhabited. Soul and spirit are stretched – along with body – making pregnancy a time of transition, growth and profound beginningsβ
– Anne Christian Buchanan
Maternity
To feel the flutters, kicks and rolls, to wonder at the tiny miracle that grows inside. What will they look like? Who will they be?
Pregnancy is a time of such wonder, such anticipation. Perhaps you love it, perhaps you are able to joyfully embrace it, or perhaps itβs long and hard and you wish for the day that itβs over and you can finally hold your baby in your arms.
No matter the journey, it is worth capturing, for you are doing something amazing!
βThe moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never.β
– Osho
Birth
Birth is transformation. Birth is power. Birth requires strength you never knew you had. Birth is unconditional love. Birth is messy and hard and raw and…beautiful. Birth changes you.
As mothers, our memories of birth can be lost in a haze of hormones, exhaustion, going deep inside of ourselves.
Having photographs allows us to piece together our stories, see moments we have already forgotten or didnβt even know had happened, find beauty and strength in the pain, and forever be able to look back on what we did, how we felt, and every precious detail of our brand new babies.
We can relive the firsts – first touch, first breath, first cry, first hold – and that is simply priceless.
βAll those cliches, those things you hear about having a baby and motherhood – theyβre all true. And all of them are the most beautiful things youβll ever experience.β
– Penelope Cruz

Β Wow! Youβve had your baby! Youβve probably also had the most amazing shower of your life, and the best food of your life (because thereβs nothing like the post-birth shower and meal). Maybe youβve even be lucky enough to catch up on some sleep between feeds and babygazing.
Day 1 or 2 is the perfect time to document your baby while they are still super new to the world, if youβd rather not capture the birth itself, if youβre on a budget or if you just want to remember EVERYTHING. If itβs not your first baby, itβs also a great way to capture the very exciting moments when big brothers and sisters get to meet their new sibling for the first time.
βA new baby is like the beginning of all things – wonder, hope, a dream of possibilitiesβ
Β – Eda J. Le Shan
Newborn
The tiny fingers and toes, the perfect little lips and nose, the delicate eyelashes and hair softer than anything else youβve ever felt.
Babies are a precious gift. Everyone says, βthey grow so fastβ and we just kind of roll our eyes. Until itβs us, and we know just how true it really is. That one day, we have the startling realization that our baby is not a baby any longer.
They are only this little once.
βBeing a family means you are part of something very special. It means you will love and be loved for the rest of your life.β
Β – Lisa Weed
Family
Gone are the days of βsay cheeseβ (Well, except maybe a few for grandma). Say hello to fun, love, laughter and connection!
Bring your favorite toys. Wear your favorite clothes. Be silly. Blow bubbles. Jump in puddles. Eat ice cream.
Do what you love. Be who you are. Enjoy it.
Capture your life the way you want to remember it.Β
